Edwina Barvosa is the founder of Just Democracy and is a scholar and associate professor of social and political theory at UC Santa Barbara. She holds a PhD in political science from Harvard University, an MA from Cambridge University, and a BA from Pomona College. At UCSB she holds appointments in the departments of Chicana and Chicano Studies, Feminist Studies, and is a Political Science affiliate. She teaches courses in democratic theory, social and political theory, history of social movements, Chicano/Latino politics, and gender and gender politics. She has been present in Ventura County, California since 1999. |
