Denim L. Slade, Ph.D. is a former Marriage and Family Therapist of over 22 years. He practiced in Ohio and Texas before returning to his native Utah seven years ago. His desire to use his experience, knowledge and skills to help a broader base of people has motivated Dr. Slade to move away from therapy into education and coaching. In addition to face-to-face help, he has been able to help clients across the country and in various parts of the world via tele-coaching where his clients have been able to access high quality care from the convenience and comfort of their own homes. Dr. Slade has taken his 22.5 years of therapeutic experience and 10 years of formal education to create the Healthy and Happy Program. In the H+H program participants gain knowledge, skills and tools that research has shown to lead to health and happiness individually and relationally. In addition to the homework that helps participants incorporate the things they learn, they are also able to schedule individual and relationship sessions to help transform lives and relationships.
Dr. Slade did his undergraduate work in Family Science at Weber State University. He then completed a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Utah State University. Dr. Slade finished his studies at The Ohio State University where he was awarded a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science.
Individual, Marital and Family Coaching, Classes, Retreats and Executive and Business Consulting are all tools Dr. Slade uses to help meet the particular needs of each client.
Dr. Slade has been married to his high school sweetheart for 25 years and has five children ranging in age from five to twenty-two. He enjoys doing almost anything outside that holds the potential for fun! He loves active pursuits like biking, running and backpacking.
