Structural Design Services:

Design services include structural analysis of gravity and lateral forces (wind and seismic) of wood frames, steel structures, masonry buildings and cold-formed metal structures. A typical scope of work includes analysis of roof framing, floor systems, shear walls, columns, connections and concrete foundation. The firm is responsible to address all comments by building departments until issuing the building permit from the structural perspective. Our services adopt the current versions of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE 7), International Building Code, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI 318), National Design Specification (NDS), and American Concrete Institute (ACI 530).

Structural Special Inspections:

Special inspection services for concrete, masonry are provided by Osman Engineering PLLC per Chapter 17 of the IBC for projects that require these code criteria.

Evaluations and Code Compliance:

This service is provided per Chapter 34 of the code and it covers change of occupancy issues, mixed uses, insurance requirements, and incompliance with code citations.

Code Peer Review:

Osman Engineering PLLC has provided peer review for 80 functional buildings designed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Sudan). Scope of work included architectural and structural review.
