Q: Do you build prefab or modular homes?
A:

No, we build on site one board at a time.

 
Q: How far will you travel to build a home?
A:

We don’t look at miles as much as we look at driving time.  We will build anywhere within a 1.5 hour drive time.

 
Q: Will you make changes to your plans?
A:

Yes. We start with one of our standard plans and customize it to what you want in your home.

 
Q: If we have our own house plans, will you build it?
A:

Absolutely. In most cases we can have you a price in 5 to 10 working days.

 
Q: How long does it take you to build a home?
A:

We take building times very seriously.  We use scheduling software to track every phase of construction and our build out times range from 60 to 90 working days.

 
Q: Will you allow a buyer to perform some work themselves?
A:

Yes, we will.  Talk with our building consultant for more details.

 
Q: How long have you been in business?
A:

11 years.

 
Q: What kind of warranty do you have?
A:

1 year on workmanship and 2 years on systems such as plumbing, electrical and Heating and Air.

 
Q: Can changes be made after the home building has begun?
A:

Yes.  Changes can be made after construction has begun.

 
Q: How do we make our selections for paint colors, flooring, cabinets, etc?
A:

We have our own design center at our office to save you countless hours of driving all over to make your selections.

 
Q: Will someone help us with our selections?
A:

Yes, a friendly and knowledgeable staff member will guide you with all of your selections.

 
Q: How much per square foot are your homes?
A:

We are asked this often.  There is no one size fits all answer to this question.  It depends on your choices and options.  We provide a total price, with contract, on each home we build. This price will not change unless you make a change.  Our standard plans range from around 65 dollars a square foot.

 
Q: What is included in your price?
A:

The price is for a 100% complete home.  Land or land improvements (i.e. well, septic and land clearing) will be added after a site evaluation is completed and will be part of the final contract price.

 
Q: Can I count my land equity towards my down payment?
A:

Yes.  In fact, many property owners have enough land equity that they do not need any additional funds for a mortgage down payment.

 
Q: Do I need to own my property before building?
A:

No.  A lot of our buyers either do not own any land or have land that is not completely debt free.

 
Q: Do you require a deposit to get started?
A:

We only require a deposit when we draw a custom plan that is not in our inventory or we involve our draftsman to make changes to a plan in our inventory.

 
Q: Can you give us a price on a home from a picture we have?
A:

No.  We must have a detailed plan that is 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch scale to price out.  We can, in most cases, give you an idea of what it will cost just to see if it is in your budget before you invest in a set of plans.

 
Q: What happens in the case of storm damage, theft or vandalism during construction?
A:

We provide a builder’s risk insurance policy on all homes while they are under construction.

 
Q: Do you do remodeling?
A:

Yes.  We do remodels on a case by case basis.  Speak with a building consultant about your remodel project.
