In a Nutshell: The fastest way I know how to get someone to switch from their critical logical left brain, (keeping them stuck in their old stories), to their creative, solution focused right brain is to put them in an arena with horses.  

By interacting with the horses (no riding) the human's emotional defenses go down. Even the most angry, "I can't feel anything" client makes  an immediate mind-body-heart connection.

Ancient myths tell of the horse carrying humans to a transformed life.  Equine Assisted Coaching helps my clients discover life changing answers.

As a prey animal, horses are always alert to tension and stress within the herd. In Equine Assisted Coaching, horses provide immediate bio-feedback to their human, who is usually unaware of the emotions and stress they are projecting.  As I watch the horses respond to my clients during an exercise, the horse's reactions  give me insight into to the client's emotions and behaviors that are obstructing their success when faced with a challenge.

It is almost magical watching horses help my clients access their creative brain, a process that is difficult to replicate in an office visit or traditional seminar.  

It is common for my clients become immediately aware of the thoughts and behaviors preventing them from living an authentic life.  It's very common, after a session, for my clients to report they have had a life changing (Lights go on!) experience.

So, how does that work? 

Oxytocin, the feel-good-get-connected hormone in the brain, is released when humans and horses have a positive encounter, a common occurance in Equine Assisted Coaching. This hormonal discharge overrides anxious, defensive thinking, allowing the client to respond to the challenge in a creative, self-forgiving, non judgemental, insightful, solution focused way.
